it has been idenified by a member @ Abovetopsecret.com as a russian missile launched from a sub that spun out of control and the vapor trail is what you are seeing.

it is a spot light 100% for sure. You can see it beaming from the house in the distance. I went to a huge rock concert in Dallas at the Smirnoff center and they had two spotlights out front and one made the exact same spiral into a black hole.

It looks like a spotlight shooting up into the clouds... There are lots of different effects that you can do with them. I used to be a lighting technician and have seen a lot of neat things you can do on the clouds... Im not 100%, but I don't think this is paranormal.
